Which marquee should I choose?
Traditional Pole Marquee
A traditional pole marquee creates a beautiful vintage style space for your wedding or event with their sweeping lines, they create a country fayre look and feel, perfect for Spring to early Autumn weddings, parties and celebrations. Beautiful features like wooden main and side poles, hessian rope pulleys and side pole guy ropes are used in this type of marquee – a British classic!
Our traditional Marquees are perfect for a rustic country wedding with their sweeping ceiling and sense of space. The wooden main poles make an amazing focal point and are perfect for dressing up, wrapped with flowers, festoons and fairy lights! They have a lower wall height than frame marquees and a larger footprint due to the guy ropes.
Traditional marquees can be used without an internal lining or dressed up to the nines with linings, swags and curtains. Their sides can be removed on sunny days warm days to add to the country feel. Entrance porches and catering tents are additional options.
They are suitable for grass rather than hard standing and come in a range of sizes to suit your event.
Clear Span or Frame Marquee
Clear span or frame marquees are so named because there are no internal poles to support the structure and this allows uninterrupted space inside the marquee. (They are sometimes referred to as cover span marquees.) The modular system also ensures that, lengthwise, you can stretch the structure as far as you like. Because frame tents don’t require guys ropes, they have a smaller footprint than pole tents.
Clear span marquees are perfect for creating bespoke, highly unique marquee party spaces. They have a modern, contemporary look and feel and can be used all year round, in a wide choice of sizes and configurations.
They have a considerable range of add-ons. A key benefit is the ability to accessorise the basic aluminium structure with a great number of add-ons to suit your particular event. For example, the standard white PVC roofs and walls can be changed to clear panels, bringing in the surrounding countryside and views.
Within reason, you can pretty much put one of our clear span marquees anywhere. If you are looking at holding an event on a concrete surface then this makes it the perfect choice. We have experience in putting marquees on terraces, under barns, over tennis courts and even on top of swimming pools.
