As a family company, it’s important to us that we always offer quality, adaptable marquees to suit the event, with the perfect equipment and additional event options to ensure your party or wedding is unique and memorable.

Who we are and how we started

Darren, Greg and Brad (brothers) were gardeners 30 years ago and loved the outdoors, creating a dream garden from their customers’ ideas. It was just Brad and Greg initially, then Darren, the youngster who was pushy and insistent to be involved so tagged along. The marquee idea came from our Mum who overheard a conversation along the high street between a family wanting a marquee wedding but could not find the right company with a quality reliable service.

Together, Darren and Greg set up Hine Marquees with the idea that everyone knows the Hine Bros so why not use the family name as a brand. We now employ Josh (Greg’s boy), Chris (Greg’s boy), Charlie and young Josh (Darren’s boys), along with Jack (nephew) and Sam (Chris’s best mate).

How we work with you

Once you have an idea of what we can offer you from our website, give us a call or email us. We will then give you an initial quote. Then, with your agreement, Darren, with his wealth of experience will arrange a site visit to discuss your ideas and assess the space you have available. He will suggest which type and size of marquee would suit you best and establish your requirements to make the most of your location.  Such as:

• the right windows
• placement of doors
• entrance porch
• lighting and linings
• the best-shaped tables for your numbers
• the space you will need for dancefloors
• seating layouts
• other options such as relaxation areas and making the most of your outside area.

After completing the site visit, you will be sent a detailed obligation-free quotation, with a floorplan if requested, together with additional quotes for equipment hire such as tables and chairs, linings, linen and lighting.

If you are happy to proceed, our team will guide you through the process, from your first point of contact, all the way through to the building and removal of your marquee on site.

We have built a great relationship with many local and independent partners who are tried and trusted to provide you with a fantastic service such as catering, power, photographers and flowers to take out the guesswork and make your party perfect.

Our Service Area

We only work in a localised area in Devon and Cornwall to ensure that we are able to quickly return to any marquee should it require modification due to unexpected weather conditions.

The area marked in red on the map below is our usual operating area. We apply a service charge for smaller marquees in the area shown in yellow
